Annual Training for Domestic Workers

Strengthening skills, leadership, and opportunities for domestic workers in Texas

MISMA's Annual Domestic Workers Training is a professional development program designed to strengthen the skills, knowledge, and leadership of domestic workers in Texas. Through hands-on workshops, education on labor rights, and personal growth opportunities, participants gain tools that enable them to provide higher-quality services, increase their confidence, and strengthen their economic stability.

What does the training include?

Participants receive training in key areas for professional domestic work, including:

Residential cleaning and home organization

Workplace safety and risk prevention

Professional communication with employers

Workplace safety and risk prevention

Labor rights and knowledge of community resources

Leadership development and community engagement

First aid and preparation for additional certifications

Since its inception, the Annual Training has supported dozens of domestic workers in strengthening their professional skills and economic opportunities.

Our annual program is designed to strengthen the skills, knowledge, and leadership of domestic workers in Texas. Through hands-on workshops, community resources, and collaborative learning spaces, participants have the opportunity to grow professionally, build confidence, and connect with a support network of other domestic workers.

Registration will remain open until all available spaces are filled. Due to high demand and in order to maintain a participatory and trusting learning environment, this year the recruitment process will be conducted exclusively through referrals from participants, community members, and partner organizations.
